Lung SBRT
Mr. J was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2022 and was treated with radical chemoradiotherapy.
One year forward he was detected with a solitary lung mass on staging PET scan. He is now Stage 4 unfortunately. Instead of undergoing systemic therapy (chemotherapy/ immunotherapy), he was treated with lung SBRT. It was non-invasive, painless and completed in a single 30 minutes session as an outpatient treatment.
SBRT can be used as a form of local therapy to delay systemic therapy when there is oligo metastatic disease (cancer spread which can be treated with local therapy).
I am eagerly waiting for his subsequent scan to see the response.
